GSS at ACAMS Hollywood 2023

ACAMS Hollywood 2023

The GSS team was in the US West coast in May, to attend ACAMS Hollywood. We had the opportunity to connect to a range of professionals from the financial services and fintech industry. We were particularly interested in exchanging our relative experiences about the challenges and opportunities that the industry is facing in the current sanctions landscape.

On the first day of the conference, Tom Scampion and Ed Thurman welcomed visitors to the GSS booth, where they had the opportunity to answer questions about our solutions and discuss how we can help financial organisations meet their compliance obligations.

We also hosted a Golden Hour drinks event, in partnership with our friends from Silent Eight. It was a great opportunity to network with other regtech professionals and learn more about their current challenges in the sanctions transactions screening space.

On the second day of the conference, we attended various informative sessions on topics such as the use of AI in sanctions screening, the importance of data quality, and the latest developments in global sanctions regulations.

We were also pleased to meet with potential clients and financial services sector partners at the conference. We look forward to continuing these conversations and working with them to reduce friction in the international payments sector.
